WESCO BEDCOVERING TERMS
CAPPED CORNERS The drops at the foot of the bed and the sides are split and stitched closed to form a boxed corner. There is no gusset.

COMFORTER Comforters are made with square corners and no pillow tuck. They have pillowcased edges so they may be reversed.

COVERLET Coverlets have rounded corners and a pillow tuck.

DECK FABRIC Fabric between the mattress and box springs that is attached to the dust ruffle.

DECK BANDING Approximately 4" fabric band applied to all leading edges of deck. This prevents lining from showing around the mattress edge.

DROP The distance from the top of the mattress edge to the floor, rug or other desired position.

DUST RUFFLE Ruffled or flat skirt attached to the box spring. Primarily used with coverlets and comforters.

DUVET Removable cover for comforters. Velcro closures are standard. Zipper closures or flaps with snaps or buttons may be ordered.
FITTED CORNER The drops at the foot of the bed and the sides are not stitched closed and form a fitted corner with a gusset.

GUSSET Fabric tab behind split or fitted corners.

OUTLINE QUILTING Hand-guided quilting based on the fabric pattern for the quilting pattern.

PILLOW TUCK The portion of the bedcovering used to fold over the pillows.

REVERSE SHAM See illustration in this section under Designer Series Optional Styles.

SHAM Removable cover for pillow primarily used with bedcoverings that do not have pillow tucks.

WELT CORD Fabric wrapped cord used to define or finish seams. It gives seams added strength and adds a decorative touch.
